Two new professional DVM members (including a CVMA member) and 1 new public member joined the Colorado State Board of Veterinary Medicine on July 1, 2021. The new members were appointed by Governor Polis.
The new professional members are:
- Lisa Jacobson, DVM of Berthoud, Colorado
- Desiree English, DVM of Aurora, Colorado (current CVMA member)
The new public member is:
- Tatum Perez of Denver, Colorado
The new members will serve a four year term on the state board. All of the new members’ terms expire June 30, 2025.
The State Board of Veterinary Medicine regulates and licenses veterinarians in the state of Colorado. The Board establishes and enforces professional standards through the development and maintenance of rules and policies, ensuring that only qualified persons are licensed to provide veterinary care, and that violators of the laws and rules regulating veterinary medicine are sanctioned as appropriate.
