Veterinary Sustainability Alliance (VSA) is pleased to roll out the Green Paw Program – a certification process designed to support veterinary clinics in taking action to make their practices more sustainable. This program is accessible with 10 easy steps to follow and a minimal fee.
Clinics who complete the program will receive a “Green Paw Certified” sticker for their clinics and be celebrated as a leader in veterinary sustainability by VSA. Through the Green Paw Program, veterinary clinics across the USA and Canada can learn together, celebrate progress, and strengthen a growing sustainability community. And this is just the beginning: we envision Green Paw as the first in a future series of tiered certifications that will continue elevating sustainability across the veterinary profession.
We appreciate the collaboration with American Veterinary Medical Association and Canadian Veterinary Medical Association in developing the initial Pathway to a More Sustainable Clinic in the fall of 2024 as well as the foundational support from Mars Veterinary Health.
Board of Directors of Veterinary Sustainability Alliance:
Drs Katie Clow, Colleen Duncan, Adriana Pastor, Matthew Richardson, Will Sander, Mary von der Porten, and Diccon Westworth
