Community Service and Volunteer Opportunities

CVMA has many ways to get involved in the community and engage with your colleagues and we know how rewarding and important volunteer opportunities can be for our veterinarians and their staff. There are a variety of ways you can connect with your community in a volunteer capacity, from career fairs to community outreach to helping at CVMA events and educational offerings like convention. You will find a list below of many opportunities held throughout the year. Exact dates may still need to be determined on some events, but if you see a volunteer opportunity you would like to know more about, please contact the appropriate staff person listed in the table below for more information or to sign up.

We have included PetAid Colorado volunteer opportunities since PetAid is the philanthropic partner of CVMA. Each year, volunteer veterinarians or technicians are needed to help those that have barriers to receiving veterinary care for their pet in a traditional setting. PetAid Community Outreach seeks to remedy the issues of access to veterinary care for those pets of people with scarce financial resources and personal barriers to receiving care in a veterinary clinic setting. Personal barriers can include (but are not limited to) mobility, age, culture, language, poor health, homelessness, and people with disabilities.

CVMA currently has the following volunteer opportunities available. Please contact the appropriate CVMA staff member listed to volunteer.
