02 Feb Feline Cancer Drug Puts King Cobra’s Cancer into Remission

A nearly 19-year-old king cobra's lymphosarcoma is in remission after chemotherapy. Denver Zoo associate veterinarian Betsy Stringer worked with a Colorado State University veterinary oncologist to develop a treatment plan for the 13-foot-long snake: a chemotherapy pill used in cats and people, inserted in the throat of a dead rat and fed to the cobra every three weeks for five months.   Read the full CBS Denver article....
