01 Dec CVMA Welcomes New Communications & Marketing Director
CVMA is pleased to introduce our new Director of Communications and Marketing, Kate Wessels. A proud Colorado native, Kate is passionate about enhancing the lives of Colorado animals and the people who love and care for them.
Kate grew up in Douglas County and has earned degrees from CU-Boulder, where she also sat on the CU-Boulder Alumni Association Board of Advisors. During her time at the university, she spent two semesters working with CVMA as our first-ever Communications intern. Kate later went on to join AAHA in a staff communications role, eventually serving as the association’s Director of Member Experience and Communications and managing the organization’s membership, accreditation, and communications programs.
A lifelong animal lover, Kate has volunteered for Denver-based rescue PawsCo, managing the foster program and fostering many animals with her husband. Kate holds an Ethical Leadership Certification from the NASBA Center for the Public Trust and is finishing her MBA at CU-Denver with a concentration in Business Strategy. Kate and her husband happily share their home in Douglas County with two dogs, two cats, and a handful of poultry (and hopefully a horse if Kate gets her way!).
Kate is available via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
